Portfolio Manager – SBA

$80,000 – $100,000 per Year

As VP of SBA Lending Portfolio Management, the focus is managing existing commercial loan relationships with an emphasis on SBA backed loans. The ideal candidate is experienced in managing a complex commercial loan portfolio, applying portfolio management processes and procedures, and commercial credit policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the deal team assigned, including Business Development Officers and credit analysts in the divisions assigned by providing a risk management and objective focus to portfolio commercial loan relationships
  • Manage and monitor a commercial portfolio, recognizing and managing early warning signs for the portfolio on a recurring basis
  • Recommend changes in structure (amendments/waivers) or account management strategy to address negative trends
  • Manage and monitor loan products including affirmative and negative financial covenant compliance and comply with internal and external regulatory requirements
  • Manage ongoing communication with borrowers and internal stakeholders
  • Ongoing monitoring of financial trends, collateral trends, and liquidity
  • Recommend appropriate courses of action to address risk management and credit issues
  • Portfolio of up to 75 active clients with loan exposures above $250,000
  • Ability and willingness to call borrowers to gain documentation and discuss loan performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • 5+ years working in a financial institution
  • 3+ years in a transactional role
  • Demonstrate a level of commercial credit underwriting & willingness to grow.
